ON THE ASSIGNMENT OF DOMAIN NAMES TO OBJECTS OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The problems of legal regulation of domain names in the Russian Federation are considered. Analyzing judicial practice the author concludes that there is a lack of legal protection of conscientious administrators of domain names. Recognizing the need for the protection of domain names he claims that it should not be a registration as proposed in the initial draft of fourth part of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
