Abstract:

The article highlights the challenges and opportunities for the legal profession in the current digital age. The author considers the following questions: what are the main trends that will determine the accessibility of legal aid and justice in the near future; how will these trends affect the legal profession; what is the potential of new technologies to make legal aid and justice more accessible? The author draws attention to the key challenges that the legal sector faces as innovations spread: low level of digital proficiency; perception of innovative technologies as a threat to the interests of a professional corporation of lawyers; preservation of the traditional business model of legal practice, etc. The author concludes that the field of legal services, justice and legal aid would inevitably change due to the widespread use of innovative technologies.
