Abstract: 

By referring to the rules of the CIS and other post-Soviet countries’ procedural codes the author gives a comparative description of representation in civil procedure in these countries. She analyzes following components of this institution: the possibility to conduct proceedings through representatives; types of representation; requirements for representatives; authorization of representatives and the scope of their authority, and comes to conclusions on how they will be regulated in the post-Soviet countries.
