THE INFORMATION BASIS, CONCEPT AND MEANING OF THE FORENSIC CHARACTERISTIC OF CRIMES

The article is devoted to one of the important forensic categories. The author notes that the forensic characteristic is a conceptualized experience of criminal activities, which is being discovered during investigation. The author gives his own definition of the forensic characteristic. He also says that knowledge contained in the forensic characteristic is not an independent investigation tool, but represents a reserve of potential information, the meaningful and purposeful use of which creates the conditions for optimization and improvement of technologies of investigation.
