PUBLIC CONTROL AS AN INSTRUMENT OF CIVIL SOCIETY TO ENSURE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY

The article is devoted to the institute of public control as an instrument of civil society to ensure national sovereignty in the Russian Federation. The author explores various points of view in the educational and scientific literature regarding the content of the concept of national sovereignty. The paper analyzes the signs of national sovereignty and gives the author’s definition of its concept. The system of legal guarantees that ensure the implementation, security and protection of national sovereignty in Russia is examined, as well as the place of the institution of public control in it. The article 20 lists the main problems that hinder the use of the institute of public control as the most important tool for ensuring national sovereignty in the Russian Federation. The system of measures to resolve this problems is developed and substantiated, including making amendments and additions to the Constitution of Russia and legislation on public control. The purpose of the study is not only to solve modern problems that hinder the use of the institute of public control as a tool of civil society to ensure national sovereignty, but also to develop the main directions of its development.
