Abstract: 

The participation of a prosecutor in civil and administrative proceedings is one of the key means of protecting human and civil rights and freedoms, the interests of society and the state. In the article, the key points of the activities of the prosecutor’s office in this area are outlined. The main emphasis is given to the analysis of the legal positions of the European Court of Human Rights, which touch upon the prosecutor’s participation in the consideration of cases by courts that are not related to the criminal law.
