Abstract: 

The article analyzes the relevant problems of the activities of the constitutional (charter) courts of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation: their interaction with courts of general jurisdiction; the grounds for their abolition (on the examples of the Charter Court of the Chelyabinsk Region, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Buryatia and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tyva); reception of foreign experience of the constitutional courts’ activities (on the example of the Federal Republic of Germany). The author describes the formation of constitutional courts of the lands of the Federal Republic of Germany. Suggestions for optimizing the activities of the constitutional (charter) courts of the Russian Federation are provided.
