Abstract: 

The article notes the reasons of Russia’s refusal to participate in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The certain provisions of the Statute are analyzed and their contradiction to the norms of the Constitution of the Russian Federation is mentioned. A negative assessment of the prospects for amending the Constitution and adopting new legislation in connection with the provisions of the Statute is given
