«FROM YALTA TO MALTA»: THE PROBLEM OF FORMALIZATION OF THE END OF THE COLD WAR

The article researches the progress and results of a meeting between M. S. Gorbachev and G. H. W. Bush in Malta on 2–3 December 1989 (Malta Summit) that had marked the end of the Cold War. The article is based on the memoirs and documents from  G. H. W. Bush Presidential Library.
