THE CURRENT STATE OF THE RUSSIAN DOCTRINE OF INTERNATIONAL LAW: AN ESSAY

АThe author considers the current state of the Russian doctrine of international law and notes manifestations of its crisis. Among them, there are the lack of own ideological foundations, monopoly of voluntarism, focus on the analysis of treaty sources, poor reasoning, scarcity of original works, institutional degradation, thematic imbalances, etc. The crisis of doctrine is caused by various reasons relating to global transformations, general decline of the intellectual sphere, ineffective education policy. Under these conditions, any individual scientist or scientific corporation as a whole must demonstrate their special responsibility, conscientiousness and attention.
