APPOINTED PROTECTION – THE CONSTITUTIONAL GUARANTEE OR FICTION?

Abstract:
The article deals with the implementation of the defendant’s constitutional right to protection, at the state’s expense as well. In the author’s opinion, it is restricted by federal legislation, and the defendant is usually required to pay costs for binding lawyer’s participation. There is a following conclusion: poor payments for lawyer’s services have a negative impact on the completeness of his protection.
