Abstract: 

The article analyzes the conceptual approaches of Russian judicial doctrine and law enforcement practice in resolving domain name disputes in relation to the possibility of applying an abstract injunctive remedy on infringement of the exclusive right to intellectual property. Author tackles actual problems of IP rights protection within the broader context of the case-by-case practice and theory of Internet law, with an emphasis, inter alia, on the practice of administrative tribunals within WIPO and taking into account «honest customs» in the sphere of domain name registration and turnover.
