Abstract: 

This article discusses the main areas of interaction between investigators of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation when investigating a crime under Art. 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The subjects of interaction during the investigation, the goals and stages of interaction are identified. In addition, the author assessed the importance of this or that type of interaction in the investigation of the crime in question, its place in the system of preliminary investigation and presented the results of a survey of customs officers specializing in the investigation of the crime provided for in Art. 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The conclusions are based on the generalized results of studying materials from investigative and judicial practice. The empirical basis of this article are: 50 court convictions under Art. 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for the period 2022–2023, as well as materials of 25 cases of administrative offenses initiated by customs authorities in the same period under Part 1 of Art. 15.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and transferred for pre-investigation checking for signs of a crime under Art. 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
