COORDINATION FUNCTION OF THE PROSECUTION BODIES OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION OUTSIDE THE CRIMINAL LEGAL SPHERE: A NEW STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT

This scientific work is devoted to rethinking of the coordination function of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation. The authors draw attention to the intensification of prosecutorial activities to protect the rights of business entities, changes in approaches in the interaction of the supervisory department with other control (supervisory) bodies when the latter exercise state control (supervision) and municipal control. In addition, to the problems that prosecutors face when exercising powers in this area are considered. The formation and development of the «proactive» work of the supervisory agency to protect the rights of entrepreneurs should entail direct changes in the competence of the prosecutor’s office. The authors believe that the coordinating function of the prosecutor’s office should develop and change, including within the framework of supervision of state control bodies (supervision) and municipal control, and not only in the criminal legal sphere. In this connection, the authors propose making appropriate changes to the current legal regulation.
