SYSTEMATIZATION OF LEGALIZATIONS IN THE FIELD OF CHURCH LAW IN RUSSIA IN THE PRACTICE OF THE HOLY GOVERNING SYNOD (the second half of the XIX – early XX century)

The article examines the processes and results of the regularization of legalities in the field of church law in the second half of the XIX – early XX century in the activities of the state-church body of the Russian Empire – the Holy Governing Synod. The author taking as a starting point attempts to systematize spiritual legalizations in the 1820s–1840s shows the place of activity of the Synod to restore order in the legislative array of the department of Orthodox religion. The article focuses on the organization of systematization works, the legal nature and technical and legal approaches to the creation of acts of systematization of legislative material in the field of church law and the results of activities. It also shows the course of creation, publication and significance of the act of systematization of spiritual legalizations created in the Synod – the Complete Collection of resolutions and orders on the Department of the Orthodox Confession in the late 1860s – 1910s.
