THE MEANING OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LEGAL EDUCATION IN RELATION TO MINORS BY PROSECUTORS

The authors investigate issues related to the implementation of legal education by prosecutors. These issues do not have proper analysis in the doctrine of prosecutorial supervision. The authors draw conclusions according to which legal education of the  Russian population is a separate function of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, and legal education of minors is one of the main direction activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation within this function. It is proved that these legal categories require their complex implementation into the system of Russian legislation, which currently has gaps in the studied sphere of legal regulation. The authors' definition of legal education of minors, reflecting the current stage of development of the Russian information society, is put forward, which means the complex main direction of prosecutorial activity, consisting of the participation of employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation in legal education of minors in educational organizations and outside the educational process using information technologies and without them. Based on the analysis of doctrinal provisions on prosecutorial activity and prosecutorial practice, measures are proposed to improve both the educational activities of the prosecutor’s office in general and the educational activities of the prosecutor’s office in relation to minors.
