THE EVOLUTION OF CONSTITUTIONAL REGULATION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF SOCIAL JUSTICE IN RUSSIA IN THE CONTEXT OF FEDERALISM AND SOCIAL DIFFERENTIATION

The article analyzes the regulation of social justice in a historical context by examining the Russian constitutions, the views of government representatives on the content of social justice in different periods of history, as well as the views of Soviet citizens. The author offers their own vision of reflecting social justice in the norms of the current Constitution, considering the positions of constitutionalists. Domestic and foreign experience of equalizing the standard of living of the population in conditions of ethnic and linguistic diversity is considered. In the same vein the problem of uneven development of the country’s regions is touched upon. The role of federalism is demonstrated in the development of social justice in Russia.
