BOOKS FROM THE LIBRARY OF VLADIMIR DMITRIEVICH NABOKOV IN THE COLLECTION OF THE SCIENTIFIC LIBRARY OF THE URAL STATE LAW UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER V. F. YAKOVLEV

In the jubilee year for the Ural State Law University named after V. F. Yakovlev information about 14 copies from the library of V. D. Nabokov (1870–1922) is introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. Books are the «pearls» of the book collection of the University’s Scientific library. They were printed in the late XVIII – early XX century, have an ex-libris «From the books of Vladimir Dmitrievich Nabokov». Book research analysis of book rarities (years of publication, bindings and their features), as well as a thematic review complement and clarify the knowledge about the outstanding figure and scientist. The books have preserved the stamps of booksellers, as well as entries in the margins and in the text not only by V. D. Nabokov, but also by his father, the Minister of Justice of the Russian Empire D. N. Nabokov (1827–1904). Book artifacts are valuable historical sources on the history of the Ural State Law University named after V. F. Yakovlev. Of 14 copies, one edition was included in the library’s collection in the early years of Faculty of Law of the Irkutsk State University, the remaining 13 were received when the University was in Sverdlovsk. The article will be of interesting to legal historians, nabokovists and anyone who studies book culture.
