LAW AS A MYTHOLOGY: 32 COMMENTS
Article:
The article continues and develops the ideas expressed in two previous articles on legal mythology. It consists of four groups of comments combined according to the topic (religion, art, politics, myth per se). Most of the comments are focused not on the law itself but on the basic or related issues; nevertheless, they reveal the general logic of the myth which operates in the field of law as well. The general idea of the first part of comments is that Christianity forms the matrix of the mythological structure, which offers the prospect of the condescension from spirit to matter. The second part demonstrates how the development of the mythological structure is reflected in art. The third part examines the relations between religious myths and political forms, mimicry of political myths and problem of overcoming it. The fourth part deals with the problems of mythological thinking, vital activity in the mythological space, language and some other problems.
