CONDITIONALITY OF INDIVIDUAL VICTIMIZATION BY UNCONSCIOUS MENTAL ATTITUDES

The article is devoted to the nature of individual victimization. The author states her assumptions about the factors conditioning individual victimization in order to improve the quality of victimological prevention. The article attempts to comprehend the reasons for victim behaviour, which can be largely attributed to the sphere of unconscious mental activity. The need to move away from traditional attitudes towards the causes of victimization is emphasized. There is an attempt to consider the causes of victimization from the standpoint of the influence of unconscious attitudes of the family system. After all, the development of preventive measures, the choice of effective means of influencing a person in order to prevent his / her victimization, is based on the knowledge about the laws of victim behaviour. The importance of victimological counselling as an area of victimological prevention is emphasized.
