The article is devoted to the prospects of researching unilateral acts of states. The author provides an assessment of various positions on the essence of unilateral acts of states, as well as a brief overview of the practice of international courts and the International Law Commission regarding this issue. The author concludes that a full-fledged study of unilateral acts of states is impossible without an appropriate methodological basis and an establishment of their legal nature.
