DETECTION AND INVESTIGATION OF CRIMES: THE SITUATIONAL APPROACH
Article:
The article deals with the relation between detection and investigation of crimes as well as the issues of overcoming difficult problematic situations arising within the criminal case. The authors investigate the process of transformation of problematic situations into simple, non-problematic ones. The process of suggesting and verifying different versions and its probabilistic heuristic mechanism are considered. Certain attention is paid to the process of deducing logical consequences, their confirmation and refutation. The evidential value of confirmed logical consequences is also examined.
