INNOVATIONS OF THE PARIS AGREEMENT ON CLIMATE CHANGE OF 2015: THE ANALYSIS OF MECHANISMS

The Paris Agreement, adopted in December 2015, replaces the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention on climate change. Th e article examines the main bodies serving the Paris Agreement of 2015 and facilitating its implementation. It is mentioned that, as a result of the adoption of
the Agreement, some new mechanisms were created, the mandate of already existing bodies was expanded, and also new channels for interaction between these treaty bodies were developed. The Paris Agreement refl ected the mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol which have been working for many
years, and also eliminated some shortcomings of the existing road maps and action plans.
