A LEGAL SYSTEM OF SOCIETY: THE MAIN APPROACHES TO UNDERSTANDING

The author examines the main approaches to understanding of a legal system, its essence and structure. In her opinion, understanding of the legal system as a set of legal nature phenomena, ensuring the functioning of law, is the most comprehensive approach. The author also points out a signifi cant disadvantage of all mentioned approaches – the lack of a methodological basis for considering the legal system as a system. So she off ers to consider legal practice as a main element of the legal system and a principle of interrelation between its elements.
