The article researches A. V. Polyakov’s theory that is one of the most interesting modern versions of anti-positivist interpretation of law. The author touches upon the key issues of this theory: the concept of legal communication, integral theory, the essence (eidos) of law, legal texts, and legal rules. He analyzes in detail the characteristics of law as a communicative system, proposed by A. V. Polyakov, merits and defects of his theory.
