THE MEMORY OF GENERATIONS: A GREAT WAR AND OTHER PAGES OF THE SLI ― USLU HISTORY

The article summarizes the results of the students’ research work on the Sverdlovsk Law Institute’s activities during the Great Patriotic War held in 2013 and 2014. The research work was made on the basis of archival and museum documents of the USLU. It was a first comprehensive study of documents relating to the work of the Sverdlovsk Law Institute in the wartime, as well as documents attesting that teachers, staff, students and graduates took part in the Great Patriotic War. The statistics processing method, bio-bibliographical, and reconstruction methods were used. The results of the research work were represented at the round table conference in May, 2014, and at the travelling exhibition in the terms of VIII session of Euro-Asian Law Congress. This large joint research has become a continuation of the work on the University’s chronicle.
