Abstract:

The article considers the approaches to the interpretation of the category of «continuity», which have been developed in various branches of socio-humanitarian knowledge, through the lens of education and science. The author underlines the special importance of the issues of periodization of the history of domestic legal education and jurisprudence as well as the problems of the so-called transitional periods. The anniversaries of 2021, in particular of the Department of the History of State and Law and the History Museum of the Ural State Law University, are regarded as research reasons for further promotion of the vast issues of continuity. The author concludes that it is promising to consider continuity as a dialogue of epochs and cultures and there is the need for further not linear, but polemical studying of the past of professional training of lawyers and jurisprudence as a branch of scientific knowledge.
