Abstract: 

The modern directions of the state environmental policy and the main mechanisms for the implementation of ensuring environmental safety in Russia are considered. Attention is focused on such organisational and legal measures to ensure environmental safety as the issuance of integrated environmental permits, the establishment of a system of best available technologies and a mechanism for extended producer of goods and packaging responsibility.
