Abstract:

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of a doctrine and an ideology as a subject of the history of political and legal doctrines. The author formulates the definition of the doctrine and gives its fundamental features. The doctrines are classified into legal, political and political-legal ones. It is revealed that the doctrine is correlated closely with the ideology through legal principles. The author concludes that the doctrine is focused on political and legal practice, whereas the ideology can be focused only on a social ideal. The author develops the definition of an integrative concept «political and legal doctrine», which allows to cover the maximum number of state and legal phenomena and to link the doctrine and the ideology with each other.
